Boy With Asymmetrical Ears is a limited edition 3.5" x 4.3"x 3.5" sculpture that is cast with slip (liquid clay) into a mold. Once it is released from the mold and dries for a few days, small corrections are made. It is then stacked in a ceramics oven which is fired to 980 degrees celsius. These sculptures are made and painted by hand with acrylic and ink, this means that even though it is a series, every sculpture is different and unique. They resemble the one presented here but are all slightly different- Keep this in mind if you consider collecting and email Kim@mortoncontemporary.com with any questions.
This ceramic sculpture is for indoor use only. Outside it will probably crack from low temperatures, bleach in the sun, or get stolen by jealous neighbors :)
