Macarena Salinas was born in Santiago, Chile, a city surrounded by the mountain range and hills. Her love for nature was cultivated on her trips to the south and north of that country. Macarena creates abstract works that connect us with the vital energy of nature and its cycles. Salinas works with painting and in parallel with stoneware, works connecting with materiality and gesture. Living between Santiago and Miami, Salinas lets these locations influence her work. Salinas has exhibited both solo and in group exhibitions worldwide.
