Gail Mancuso is a Chicago-based artist/photographer. With her camera, Mancuso captures the ubiquitous but often overlooked silhouetted impressions of the urban landscape and the female form. With a discerning eye for color, balance and composition, she utilizes materials uncommon to traditional photography, such as paint, torn paper and pencil, to blend with digital imaging techniques that subtly blur the boundary between photography and painterly impressions. Mancuso has shown her work in both solo and group shows throughout the US and worldwide.
